Dr. Frikkie Hartog is an ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract and refractive procedures, and is constantly analysing and improving the results of his procedures. After many years’ experience he has analysed the results of thousands of procedures with all kind of lenses. This permits him the unique possibility to not only improve his results, but also successfully treat challenging patients.

Dr Hartog studied medicine at the University of Pretoria after his national service. After graduating in Ophthalmology from the University of Stellenbosch, he started working in private practice in Cape Town. He frequently attends both local and international congresses, as well as surgical workshops.

Dr. Hartog has been involved in multifocal lens instructional courses, and has presented his results at both local and international congresses. He is committed to research, new technology and the promotion of patient education.
